While working for a highend furniture company, Randy Malm decided to make a bed for his cats. After friends saw his design, they told him to market it. So in 1998 he started to market "The Classic Cat Bed". Only the best wood and fabric went into these beds. Solid cherry and fleece fabric was used. He sold 300 of these beds that first Christmas through cat magazine ads. After that he sold them solely through word of mouth and with local pet shops. His wife Brenda, joined the family and since the spring of 2006, Classic Cat Beds has changed it's name to Classic Pet Beds and now have added the Classic Dog Bed and a full line of dog and cat diners, crates and other pet accessories. Our products are made the same way as our flagship item, the Classic Cat Bed. Our diners are made from solid ash and mahogany and some have Formica brand "Solid Surface" tops. Our finishes are completely waterbase so you will feel comfortable with our products and feel safe for your pet.
